Art Mask Ireng A La Magelang

If at any Jathilan Prambanan, this time I can enjoy dance in Borobudur Ireng Mask. This dance is unique because is already a modern dance, especially of clothing worn. So, there is a set of small children dressed in Indian style, if I may say, tufted-fringe, feathered headdress style Cherokee Indian tribes and other hair sticking up, as well as unique is the boots that hung with hundreds of small bells. These children face painted with circular shapes and twigs. The children were apparently already has its own formation in dancing. They form a square formation, circular, with a dance movement of the body that is not too complex, but crowded. The children are numbered 10 people, but the crowd this dance actually comes from the berdencing noisy bell on their feet. The main movement in his legs and they have dihentak-jerking. It was crowded, and attract attention at all, but for me, here is the beauty of dance movement.
Mask Arts Ireng (Ireng in the Java language is black) is derived from Magelang. The kids were dancing to the accompaniment of gamelan wasps simple. There is an MC who guides the course of events. I did not find any complex intricate dance moves, I just found out that this dance is very simple, with the main motion in the foot. Well, in order to enliven the atmosphere, the MC offered to the many visitors who watched, to participate up to the stage and danced with 10 child. Many spectators, mainly young people, come forward onto the stage and rollicking dancing with these children. as I say and I will say once again, is easy to follow dance moves, young children are just easy to follow without awkward. Fun, lively, and excited. The location of this art was in the middle between the gate counter to the Borobudur temple, on the right. Although a bit modern, but if you want to feel the art of Magelang, for me this is adequate. Loch exclaimed could jejingkrakan with these children in the middle of the bell and rattle sound of gamelan.
